Referee Maresca Will Officiate Venezia vs Lazio, Di Paolo in VAR Room

Referee Fabio Maresca will oversee Lazio’s final match of 2021 against Venezia tomorrow, with Aleandro Di Paolo in the VAR room.

As announced by Lazio yesterday, the 40-year-old Napoli-born referee will officiate tomorrow’s Serie A clash between the Biancocelesti and the newly promoted Venezia, his 17th time overseeing a game involving the Roman club.

Maresca has overseen 16 Lazio matches in the past, with the Biancocelesti winning nine of those, drawing twice and losing five times. The Roman club are the team most refereed by the Neapolitan official, although tomorrow’s match will be the first time this season.

The most recent Lazio match that the 40-year-old Italian referee has officiated was the Biancocelesti’s 2-0 loss to Fiorentina in May of this year, where he gave the Roman club seven yellow cards and one second yellow card.
