Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri’s contract extension will be made official on Thursday, after the final game of 2021 against Venezia.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach has already put pen to paper on the new deal, which will see him tied to the club until 2025 with increased wages.
Sarri’s new deal with Lazio will see his annual salary rise from €3.3 million net per season plus add-ons to €4 million net plus add-ons, with a clause included that would allow him to pay a fee to free himself should a top foreign club come calling.

President Claudio Lotito has unconditional faith in the Italian coach, despite the inconsistent results in the first half of the season, and fully believes in his project in Rome.
The official announcement of his extension and the ceremony will come on Thursday in Formello, the day after the match against Venezia.
