Udinese Offer Lazio Stryger-Larsen in Exchange for Expiring Goalkeeper Strakosha

Udinese are keen on signing Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha and have offered an exchange deal with Jens Stryger-Larsen.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24) earlier today, Luca Gotti’s side are big admirers of the 26-year-old Albanian shot stopper and want to secure his signature in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Udinese have offered Lazio the 30-year-old Stryger-Larsen in exchange for Strakosha, giving the Biancocelesti the chance to get something out of the Albanian’s departure ahead of his contract expiry in June.

It’s hard to imagine Lazio accepting this deal, but they are still considering the possibility. The club would prefer Strakosha to sign a contract renewal but for now this seems unlikely.

The 26-year-old Strakosha, who joined Lazio in the summer of 2012, has recently regained his spot in coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad, starting the last three consecutive Serie A games. His strong performances have seen him overtake Pepe Reina in the coach’s pecking order.
