Lazio have added Lille left back Gabriel Gudmundsson to their wish list ahead of the winter transfer window.
As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, Biancocelesti coach Maurizio Sarri has asked the club for a new full back in next month’s transfer window, with Manuel Lazzari likely to leave following his struggles adapting to the four-man defence.
Ex-Lazio Team Manager Peruzzi: “I Didn’t Matter for Anything Anymore”
Lazio have already identified Lille’s Reinildo Mandava as a strong option, but now have added the 22-year-old Gudmondsson to that list as well.
The Swedish left back, who is contracted to Lille until 2026, joined the French side in the summer transfer window from FC Groningen in a deal worth around €6 million.
Sarri’s Contract Extension With Lazio Will Be Officially Announced on Thursday
It would not be an easy deal to pull out but the Biancocelesti are considering their options, although Sarri would prefer Mandava.
Gudmondsson has only made two Ligue 1 starts for Lille so far this season, playing 305 minutes in the league across 10 appearances.
