AC Milan are keen to sign Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi and they could look to send Alessio Romagnoli in exchange.
As reported by Italian journalist Enrico Camelio to CMIT TV (via LazioNews24) yesterday, the Rossoneri have asked about the 33-year-old Italian defender’s availability ahead of next month’s transfer window, looking to find a replacement for the injured Simon Kjaer.

Acerbi has been at the centre of attention in the Lazio environment in recent days following his ‘shh’ celebration, resulting apology and then the statement from the ultras telling him to leave Rome immediately.

Should a deal take place, AC Milan could look to include Romagnoli in a possible exchange deal; the 26-year-old Italian defender’s contract expires with the Rossoneri in June next year and for now a renewal seems unlikely, so this deal could suit all parties.
The AC Milan captain is a well-known Lazio fan and Acerbi has a history with the Rossoneri, so the two players may be convinced to give the green light to this deal.
Romagnoli is far more a better player than Acerbi, so what’s the point for the exchange, what’s wrong with Milan.
