Lazio have re-ignited their interest in Sporting forward Jovane Cabral ahead of next month’s transfer window.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are still searching for a new backup striker for the upcoming transfer window and the idea of the 23-year-old Cape Verdean has resurfaced.

Cabral was very close to joining Lazio in last summer’s transfer window before the club closed out a deal with Hellas Verona for Mattia Zaccagni.

The 23-year-old Cabral, who is contracted to Sporting until 2023, is an all-rounded forward who can either play on the wings or in the centre, giving coach Maurizio Sarri a tactically flexible option to allow for more rotations.
The Cape Verdean forward, who also holds a Portuguese passport, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 692 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided one assist.
