Lazio have identified Belenenses centre back Tomas Ribeiro as a strong option for next month’s transfer window.
As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are considering signing a new central defender in the upcoming winter transfer market, even if their main targets are a new left back and a new backup striker.

The Portuguese centre back has made 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1509 minutes. In that time, he has picked up two yellow cards and helped the side keep two clean sheets. He is valued at around €1.5 million.
The other main idea to strength Lazio’s defence is Hellas Verona defender Nicolo Casale, but a deal for him is likely to be a little more difficult.
