Lazio star Ciro Immobile has finally tested negative for COVID and can join the squad in Formello tomorrow.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the 31-year-old Italian striker tested negative for the virus after taking a molecular PCR test yesterday, allowing him to return to Formello after a couple of weeks on the sidelines.
Immobile was forced to miss Lazio’s last two matches of 2021 against Genoa and Venezia but now will be able to face Empoli on 6th January.

The Italian striker is the focal point of coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad and his return will bring a smile to the 62-year-old Italian coach, who can now rely on the player in the new year.
The 31-year-old Immobile, who is contracted to Lazio until 2026, has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1709 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided two assists.
