Roma & Lazio Could Compete for Inter Midfielder Vecino Next Month

Lazio and Roma have recently registered interest in Inter midfielder Matias Vecino.

As reported by Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari on Twitter recently, the 30-year-old Uruguayan midfielder is likely to leave the Nerazzurri in next month’s transfer window, hardly featuring under coach Simone Inzaghi this season.

Both Roma and Lazio have registered their interest in Vecino, although he is not considered a serious priority for either club as of now.

The 30-year-old Vecino, whose contract expires with Inter next June, has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 388 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal, in a 6-1 win over Bologna back in September.

Lazio have been linked with a variety of players ahead of next month’s transfer window but it’s unlikely that the majority of those will be signed, with players like Kevin Lasagna and Nikola Kalinic not likely to join the Roman club.
