Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri’s dream for next summer is Chelsea full back Emerson Palmieri.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach is a big fan of the 27-year-old Brazilian-Italian, who is currently on loan with French side Olympique Lyon.

Sarri is incredibly keen to bring Emerson to Lazio, knowing the player well from their time together in West London – even if he didn’t feature much during the coach’s year with Chelsea.
The Biancocelesti will look to sign Emerson in the summer, as Lyon are not keen to lose the player in next month’s transfer window.

Contracted to Chelsea until 2024, Emerson has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Lyon, for a total of 1449 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
Sarri will have to wait another six months if he wants to get his man, meaning that a short-term option may be signed in next month’s transfer window.
