Lazio full back Elseid Hysaj is working hard to recover in time for the first game of 2022 against Empoli.
As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 27-year-old Albanian left back suffered a right adductor strain a couple of weeks ago, forcing him to miss the final game of 2021 against Venezia.
The 27-year-old Hysaj, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1825 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and been instrumental in helping the team adapt to coach Maurizio Sarri’s system.
Lazio will host Empoli on 6th January before travelling up to Milan to face Simone Inzaghi’s Inter three days later.
