Coach Maurizio Sarri understands that he most likely won’t have Acerbi for the upcoming match against Empoli next week but he’s hoping to have the 33-year-old Italian centre back for the following match against Inter on 9th January.

The 33-year-old Acerbi, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2146 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals, provided two assists and helped the side keep six clean sheets.
