Possible Exchange Deal on the Cards Between Lazio’s Lazzari & Bologna’s Hickey

Lazio could look to exchange Manuel Lazzari for Bologna full back Aaron Hickey.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Italian full back has not fully convinced coach Maurizio Sarri this season and so the club are planning to send him away in this month’s transfer window.

With Bologna continuing to insist on Lazzari, Lazio could aim for an exchange deal with the 19-year-old Hickey. The Scottish left back has shined this season under coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and sporting director Igli Tare scouted the player before he joined the Rossoblu.

Hickey, who is contracted to Bologna until 2024, has made 19 Serie A appearances so far this season, for a total of 1461 minutes. In that time, he has scored four goals. The Scottish teenager has an estimated market value of around €13 million.

Updates are expected over the coming weeks, with Lazio incredibly keen to find a new home for Lazzari before this month’s transfer window closes.
