Lazio are planning to register young defender Dimitrije Kamenovic this month.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 21-year-old Serbian defender was not registered in the summer following his arrival from Cukaricki as the club wanted to keep a non-EU player slot open, saving a spot for Filip Kostic.

Considering that Kostic never arrived, Lazio are now set to register Kamenovic, making him available to coach Maurizio Sarri for the second half of the season.

The 62-year-old Italian coach wasn’t particularly impressed by the Serbian centre back in the pre-season training camp but things could change now in the second half of the season, especially with Francesco Acerbi’s slow adaption to the new system.
Contracted to Lazio until 2026, Kamenovic made 30 Super liga Srbije appearances last season for Cukaricki, for a total of 2391 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals, provided three assists and helped the side keep 17 clean sheets.
