Redundant Lazio Trio Escalante, Vavro & Jony All Set to Leave This Month

Three redundant Lazio players are close to leaving the club in this month’s transfer window.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24) earlier today, Gonzalo Escalante, Denis Vavro and Jony are all set to leave the Biancocelesti in this month’s transfer window, important as the club have noted that they need to sell before they can buy.

Escalante is very close to joining La Liga side Alaves on a loan deal with a buy option attached, and the other two are also destined to join Spanish clubs.

Vavro and Jony are both set to join La Liga clubs, although for the latter it’s necessary to wait and see how the dispute linked to his departure from Malaga pans out.

Updates are expected over the coming weeks, with the three players far from coach Maurizio Sarri’s project in Rome. Once these three have been sold or sent out on loan, Lazio will be able to make further moves in the transfer market.
