A decisive meeting between Luiz Felipe’s entourage and Lazio has been scheduled for the coming days.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 24-year-old Brazilian defender’s contract is set to expire with the Biancocelesti at the end of this season and he has not yet decided whether or not to extend his stay in Rome.
Inter and AC Milan are both keen to sign Luiz Felipe on a free transfer but Lazio are looking to avoid this, so a meeting has been scheduled between the player’s entourage and the club for the coming days to try and reach an agreement.
Coach Maurizio Sarri is certain that the Brazilian defender will stay and has made him a central part of his project in the Italian capital, but should he decide not to renew, then Lazio’s strategies for this month’s transfer window would change.
The Biancocelesti would be willing to listen to offers for him in this window should he not renew before looking to secure a replacement.
