Lazio could look to re-ignite interest in FC Midtjylland midfielder Jens Cajuste following a drop in his market value.
As reported by Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet yesterday, the Biancocelesti were linked to the 22-year-old Swedish midfielder back in the summer but they focused on other targets due to his cost, which was around €16.5 million.

Cajuste’s market value has dropped in recent months, however. The Swedish midfielder has struggled with injuries and poor performances this season for Midtjylland and the Danish club are now willing to sell him for around €8 million, a large drop compared to only six months ago.

Brentford, Rennes and Newcastle United were all also linked with Cajuste back in the summer, so Lazio will have to work fast if they want to secure his signature in this month’s transfer window, although the Roman club’s main focus for now is signing a new backup forward.
The 22-year-old Cajuste, who is contracted to Midtjylland until 2023, has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 369 minutes.
