Rumours are also starting to emerge that the 33-year-old Italian defender could leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window, with AC Milan reportedly interested in acquiring him. It’s still too early to understand the seriousness of this interest, however.

Acerbi was booed off by the Lazio fans during the match against Empoli, still not being forgiven following his ‘shhh’ celebration in the win against Genoa before the Christmas break.
