Lazio Full Back Lazzari Tops Atalanta’s List of Possible Hateboer Replacements

Atalanta are keen to sign Lazio full back Manuel Lazzari should Hans Hateboer leave the club this month.

As reported by Italian media outlet TuttoAtalanta.com earlier today, the Dutch right back has asked for a move away from the Bergamo club and so he could be sold should concrete offers arrive this month.

If Hateboer does leave then Atalanta would want to secure a replacement instantly, and the top target on their list is Lazzari, who seems destined to leave Lazio soon.

Lazio Coach Sarri: “Many Players Are Not Suited to Playing Like This”

The Italian full back hasn’t adapted to coach Maurizio Sarri’s system and so he’s likely to leave the club in either this month’s transfer window or the summer market.

The 28-year-old Lazzari, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1026 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal but struggled to show his best in a four-man defence.
