There is a cold relationship currently between Lazio president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare.

As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the Biancocelesti president is not particularly happy with the Albanian sporting director, unconvinced by his work over the last years and frustrated with his statements ahead of the match against Inter.

It’s necessary for Lotito and Tare to get back on the same page again, especially if they plan to reinforce coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad in this month’s transfer window.

The first issue is that Lazio must unblock their liquidity index, which is currently stopping them from making transfers. Some players will need to be sold first, with the top candidates including Denis Vavro, Vedat Muriqi and Manuel Lazzari.

Things have been a little tense between Lotito and Tare for some time now, but they need to iron out the issues soon in order to help with Sarri’s project in Rome.
