Crotone in Advanced Talks With Lazio for Redundant Winger Adekanye

Crotone are in advanced talks with Lazio regarding Dutch winger Bobby Adekanye.

As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio last night, the Calabrian side are looking to strengthen their attack in this month’s transfer window and they’ve identified the 22-year-old Dutch forward as a strong option.

Crotone are already deep in negotiations with Lazio for Adekanye and things could be fully closed by the end of this week. It’s likely that he’d join the Calabrian side on a six-month loan deal.

The 22-year-old Adekanye, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2023, has never really settled in Rome since signing for the club back in the summer of 2019. He failed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri in last summer’s pre-season training camp and so wasn’t not included in his project in Rome.

Adekanye has spent time on loan with Cadiz and ADO Den Haag but neither loan spell allowed him to show his best.
