Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is incredibly keen to bring Inter midfielder Matias Vecino to Rome.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the 63-year-old Italian coach is a big fan of the 30-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, whose contract is set to expire with the Nerazzurri at the end of this season, and he thinks the player would suit his tactical system.
If it were up to Sarri, he’d bring Vecino to Lazio this month, but deals with Inter aren’t particularly feasible for now. The Milanese club could even consider offers from other clubs and so there’s no guarantee that the Biancocelesti will be able to sign the player on a free transfer in the summer.

The 30-year-old Vecino, who joined Inter in 2017, has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 388 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal, but failed to make a strong impression on coach Simone Inzaghi.
