Still no contract renewal agreement between Luiz Felipe and Lazio yet but the club are optimistic.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti recently met with the 24-year-old Brazilian defender’s agent Stefano Castagna and they had a positive meeting, even if no agreement was reached.
The relationship between Luiz Felipe and Lazio is very good and so new meetings have been scheduled in order to try and resolve the situation. The Roman club are hoping that the defender will continue to show his loyalty to the team, and so they’re feeling optimistic.
Multiple clubs are keen on signing the 24-year-old on a free transfer in the summer, like Barcelona, Real Betis and Inter, so the Biancocelesti need to tie down the player to a new contract before the end of this month.
Luiz Felipe has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2034 minutes. In that time, he has helped the side keep five clean sheets.
