Talks Between Lazio & Leeds United Regarding Muriqi Progressing Quickly

Leeds United are pushing hard to sign Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi and talks are progressing well.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the talks have made considerable progress since the initial contacts, although no agreement has been reached yet.

The formula currently being discussed by Lazio and Leeds is a loan deal with an €8 million buy option attached, although this is the source of the problem.

The Premier League side would prefer this clause to be a buy option whilst the Biancocelesti are pushing for it to be an obligation to buy clause instead. Talks will continue over the next few days, with both parties hoping to reach a total agreement.

The 27-year-old Muriqi, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has failed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri this season. He has made 14 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 313 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist.
