Lazio’s defence when playing away from home is incredibly poor this season and is one of the worst in the league.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti have conceded 39 goals in the league after 21 games, the worst out of all the teams in the top half of the table.
Of those 39 goals, Lazio conceded 23 of them away from home. This makes the team the second leakiest defence in Serie A when playing away, with the number one spot being held by Spezia, who have conceded 27 away from home.

The Biancocelesti’s defence have clearly struggled to adapt to coach Maurizio Sarri’s system and he’s working hard in Formello to iron out the issues. He is hoping for three reinforcements in this month’s transfer window, with two of those being defenders, a centre back and left back.
This difference in form between home and away was also seen in the Europa League group stages; the team conceded no goals at the Stadio Olimpico, but conceded three when playing away.
