Toma Basic and Stefan Radu have not been called up for Lazio’s match against Salernitana today.
As seen in a post on Lazio’s Twitter page earlier today, the 25-year-old Croatian midfielder and the Romanian veteran were not amongst the list of players called up by coach Maurizio Sarri for this evening’s match against the Campania side.

Basic has been left at home due to physical problems, which is why he has missed Lazio’s squad training sessions in recent days. This forces Sarri to start Luis Alberto this evening in the Croatian’s place. As for Radu, Patric is likely to start as a result of his absence.

The 25-year-old Basic, who is contracted to Lazio until 2026, has made 20 appearances so far this season for the Roman club, for a total of 993 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided two assists, fitting in Sarri’s system well in Rome.
The Biancocelesti are hoping that the Croatian will be fully fit in time for their Coppa Italia Round of 16 clash against Udinese on Tuesday next week.
