CSKA Moscow are in pole position in the race to sign Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi this month.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Russian side are incredibly keen to sign the 27-year-old Kosovan forward, who has also been linked with a move to England in recent weeks.

The only issue for Lazio now is the formula of the deal; the Biancocelesti have only received offers on the basis of loan deals with a buy option attached, but they’d prefer to for the clause to be an obligation to buy instead.

The next few days could be decisive, with the Roman club incredibly keen to re-home the Kosovan forward soon in order to sign a replacement backup striker.
