Lazio winger Pedro is set to return to full fitness in time for the upcoming match against Fiorentina.
As highlighted by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio yesterday, tests carried out on the 34-year-old Spaniard revealed that he has suffered a first degree injury to the soleus of the right calf, which is not a particularly serious issue.
Whilst Pedro will miss Lazio’s upcoming Serie A clash against Atalanta, he is expected to return to action in time for the first match after the international break, against Fiorentina on 6th February.
The 34-year-old Pedro, who is contracted to Lazio until 2023, has been one of the top players in coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad this season, showing his technical and tactical qualities well after switching from rivals Roma in the summer.
The Spanish winger has made 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1967 minutes. In that time, he has scored eight goals and provided five assists.
