Mattia Zaccagni could make a last minute recovery for Lazio’s upcoming match against Atalanta tomorrow evening.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are optimistic that the Italian midfielder will recover ahead of tomorrow’s match against La Dea, following his recent ankle injury.

Although Zaccagni didn’t train yesterday, there are still two scenarios that could see him feature for Lazio tomorrow; a trial today to test his ankle, or another day of rest in order to give him the best chance of being fit enough to feature.

Coach Maurizio Sarri is praying that Zaccagni will be available, with Spanish winger Pedro also out injured following a calf injury.
The 26-year-old Zaccagni has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Lazio. In that time, he has scored two goals and provided four assists, fitting in well in Sarri’s 4-3-3 system. He has struggled with both a hamstring and knee injury this campaign.
