A new meeting has been scheduled between Lazio and Luiz Felipe’s agent as the two parties look to agree upon a contract renewal.
As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the recent meeting between the club and the Brazilian defender’s agent did not bring the desired results, with no agreement being reached still.
Another meeting has now been scheduled, either for this weekend or early next week. Luiz Felipe wants a salary of around €2.5 million net per season including add-ons, whilst Lazio would prefer that figure to be around €2.1 million net.
The Biancocelesti’s first offer was lower, around €1.6 million net per season plus add-ons, but it was clear that a raise was needed. Inter, Real Betis, Zenit St. Petersburg and Barcelona are all interested in the player, but the Roman club have no intention of losing him on a free transfer in the summer.
The next few weeks will be crucial, as Luiz Felipe will be able to sign a pre-contract with his new club in less than two weeks now.
