Redundant Lazio defender Denis Vavro may return to FC Copenhagen in order to find more playing time.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are desperate to offload some of their deadweight in this month’s transfer window and the 25-year-old Slovakian defender is one of these unneeded players.

Huesca, Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano are all reportedly interested in Vavro, but no move has been agreed with Lazio yet. In the last few days the idea of returning to Copenhagen has also emerged.

The Slovakian defender could join the Danish side on a six-month loan deal, possibly with a buy option attached, in order to find more consistent minutes. He previously spent two years with Copenhagen, from 2017 to 2019, and he made 85 appearances in total for them, 64 more than he’s made for Lazio.
Vavro has only played a handful of minutes this season under coach Maurizio Sarri, with the 63-year-old Italian coach not impressed following last summer’s pre-season training camp.
