Luiz Felipe Set to Ignore Interest From Inter, Milan, Roma & Barcelona to Remain at Lazio

Luiz Felipe is incredibly close to agreeing to a contract renewal with Lazio following a very positive meeting.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the two parties have been meeting constantly this month in an attempt to iron out an agreeable contract renewal, but things have been stuck at a stalemate for a while now.

Things have changed recently, however, with more optimism filtering out of the Lazio environment following the latest meeting with Luiz Felipe’s agent. An agreement has seemingly been reached on the basis of a four-year deal worth over €2 million net per season, including add-ons.

In the meantime, the fans have been calling for the player’s renewal to be finalised in order to avoid a possible move to Roma in the summer. The player’s agent, Stefano Castagna, has personally denied that idea, saying that “a move to Roma is really impossible”.

The 24-year-old Luiz Felipe has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2327 minutes. He has also been linked to the likes of Inter, Milan, and Barcelona in recent times.
