Lazio Women’s 2022 Kicks Off with Losses to Sampdoria 2-1 & Inter 3-1

Lazio Women’s 2022 has not kicked off in the best way, with the team suffering defeats to both Sampdoria and Inter.

The match against the Ligurian side took place at the Campo Riccardo Garrone in Genoa on 15th January and ended 2-1 in favour of the home team. Sampdoria went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Giorgia Spinelli and Sabah Seghir, although Chloe Le Franc picked up a late consolation goal.

Things were a little more painful for Lazio Women in their 3-1 defeat to Inter yesterday in Formello; the Biancocelesti took the lead after 13 minutes thanks to a penalty scored by Giulia Ferrandi, but two late goals from the Nerazzurri saw them steal away all three points.

Lazio Women’s next match is against AC Milan on 5th February, after the international break. The team currently sit 11th in the Serie A Femminile table, having only picked up three points all campaign after winning against bottom place Hellas Verona.
