Mizuno Close to Replacing Macron as Lazio’s Kit Provider, Agreement Incredibly Close

Lazio have almost fully agreed a partnership with Japanese sports brand Mizuno, who will replace Macron as the team’s technical sponsor.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi yesterday, the Japanese company will overcome the competition of Castore, Robe di Kappa and Puma to become the Biancocelesti’s new kit provider, replacing long time sponsor Macron after the conclusion of a nine-year relationship.

The last renewal with Macron came in 2017 and was a five-year deal worth €20 million in total. Lazio’s new deal with Mizuno will be worth significantly more; so much so that president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare took part in the talks directly.

Lazio will become the first Serie A club to wear Mizuno gear. Other clubs that use the Japanese brand in Italy include Cesena, Cittadella and Sudtirol. In the past, back in the 2001/02 season, Mizuno were the technical sponsor and kit providers for Fiorentina.
