Mallorca have submitted an offer for unneeded Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi and talks are currently ongoing.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the sale of the 27-year-old Kosovan forward is key for the Biancocelesti, who need to finalise his departure in order to allow them to make new signings, like Hellas Verona’s Nicolo Casale.
Mallorca have offered Lazio a loan deal with an €8 million buy option attached, but the Biancocelesti are asking for an obligation to buy clause instead, set at €10 million. This clause could be conditional on the basis of the club avoiding relegation.
Muriqi, who was initially doubtful because he wanted to return to Fenerbahce, is now open to the move, even if a solution has to be found regarding his salary; he currently earns €2.2 million net per season in Rome and Mallorca have offered exactly half of that.
A deadline of Friday has been set for the talks.
