Valencia have offered forward Maxi Gomez to Lazio ahead of the closure of this month’s transfer window.

As reported by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today, the 25-year-old Uruguayan forward is having a difficult season in Spain and the Spanish side are willing to give him up in this month’s window, which closes next week on Monday.

Valencia are currently in talks with Lazio for defender Patric, and during these discussions, Gomez‘s name also came up. The 25-year-old could be a replacement for the outgoing Vedat Muriqi, who is set to join Mallorca in the coming days.

Gomez, who is contracted to Valencia until 2024, has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1291 minutes. In that time, he has scored twice and provided one assist.

No incoming transfers can be completed until Lazio finalise Muriqi’s departure to Mallorca, as the liquidity index is blocking them from making any moves.
