Lazio in Last Minute Sprint for Atalanta Forward Miranchuk, Refusing to Give Up

Lazio are refusing to give up in their chase of Atalanta forward Aleksej Miranchuk.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the two clubs are still in constant contact and Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito is hoping to reach an agreement before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Lazio and Atalanta still need to agree on both the figures and the formula of the deal, as well as convince coach Gian Piero Gasperini to give up on Miranchuk.

The Biancocelesti also need to close out their outgoing transfer deal with Mallorca for Vedat Muriqi, who is on his way to Spain today to take his medicals with the club.

It will be a last-minute sprint for Lazio, who now need to work incredibly hard to secure a backup striker for coach Maurizio Sarri before 8pm local time on Monday evening when the transfer window will officially close.
