Lazio winger Bobby Adekanye has officially joined Serie B side Crotone on loan.

As announced by Crotone yesterday, the 22-year-old Dutch winger has joined the Serie B side on a six-month loan deal, where he’ll be hoping for regular game time in order to continue his development.

Lazio failed to find a move for Adekanye in the summer transfer window and so he’s been training in Rome waiting for a move this month. Now he’ll be able to earn consistent playing time again as he looks to relaunch his career.

Adekanye spent last year on loan with Cadiz in Spain and Den Haag in the Netherlands before returning to Rome. He has only ever made 15 first team appearances for the club, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

The 22-year-old Adekanye commented on his move to Crotone in a post on Instagram, wishing Lazio well for the rest of the season.

Here we are Crotone! With so much desire to work and fight on the pitch for the club’s goals. Good luck for the rest of the season, Lazio!
