Sarri Has a Plan for Felipe Anderson if Lazio Fail to Sign a New Forward

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is prepared to deploy Felipe Anderson as a false nine should a new forward fail to arrive.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti coach wants to get the real Brazilian winger back; the player started the season in sparkling fashion but has since fallen off and started to become invisible in Rome.

If Lazio fail to sign a backup for star striker Ciro Immobile this month, Sarri is ready to use Felipe Anderson as a false nine, either from the start or during the course of the match.

The Brazilian winger wants to return to his best again and he could be used in a Dries Mertens-esque fashion by the 63-year-old Italian coach.

Felipe Anderson has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2198 minutes. In that time, he has scored four goals and provided six assists.
