Lazio Working on Last-Minute Deal for Sporting Lisbon Winger Jovane Cabral

Lazio and Sporting Lisbon are currently in constant contact to find an agreement for the transfer of Jovane Cabral.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, the left-winger has been appreciated for some time and the Biancocelesti are hoping to strike a deal at the last minute of the transfer window; the two clubs are currently on a call as of 12:49 EST.

The Cape Verde international is currently valued at €8 million and has a contract expiring on 30.06.2023. Sporting started with a request of €10 million for Cabral; however, Lazio convinced them of a loan fee of €1 million with an option to buy set at €8 million (for a total fee of €9 million). It is now a race against time with the Winter Transfer Window hours away from closing.

Giovanni Becali, the agent of Dennis Man, confirmed this news to La Lazio Siamo Noi. He stated that he was ready to work until the deadline to bring the Romanian winger to Rome; however, Maurizio Sarri opted for Cabral, and as a result, negotiations for the Parma-owned winger came to a halt.

The 23-year-old has been with Sporting since 2014. He joined the senior team in 2018 and has since made 97 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 17 assists; this year he has played a part in 17 matches (707 minutes), netting three goals and tallying one assist.
