Kosovan forward Vedat Muriqi has officially joined La Liga side RCD Mallorca on loan from Lazio.
As announced by Mallorca, the 27-year-old Kosovan forward has joined the Spanish side on a €1 million loan deal with a €12 million buy option attached. The player will be hoping for regular playing time as he looks to relaunch his career following a disappointing spell in Rome.
Muriqi failed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri at the pre-season training camp last summer and the Biancocelesti have been working hard to find a new home for him this month; he was linked to several clubs including Saint-Etienne, CSKA Moscow, West Brom, and Leeds United, but eventually opted for Mallorca.

Lazio paid €20 million for Muriqi to Fenerbahce back in September 2020 and that investment has not paid off; the Kosovan forward has scored two goals and provided two assists in 49 appearances across all competitions, looking out of his depth in Serie A. However, with Kosovo, the attacker has had much better form, scoring 18 times across 37 caps.
