Lazio are set to register Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic today, much to the disappointment of coach Maurizio Sarri.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are prepared to officially register the 21-year-old Serbian defender, who was signed by the club from Čukarički almost exactly a year ago.

Sarri, whilst appreciating Kamenovic’s commitment in training, does not think that the player is suitable for his squad and he’d prefer to have a player who is more experienced and tactically flexible.

However, the good relationship between Lazio’s management and Kamenovic’s agent Mateja Kezman means that the player’s contract will be officially registered at some point today. He could possibly move away on a last-minute loan, and so updates could come out later today.
The 21-year-old Kamenovic cost Lazio €2.5m last January and so far that investment has not paid off. He is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2026.
