Italian winger Cristiano Lombardi has joined Serie B side Reggina on loan from Lazio.
As announced by Reggina last night, the 26-year-old Italian winger has joined the second tier side on loan until the end of the season, where he’ll be hoping for regular minutes after recovering from a serious injury.

Lombardi suffered a serious muscle injury only a month into his loan move to Salernitana last season, forcing him to the sidelines for the rest of the campaign. He spent the first six months of this season on the sidelines of the project in Rome, but now he has a chance to play regularly again.
The Italian winger, who is a product of Lazio’s youth system, has only ever made 19 first team appearances for the club, failing to break into the first team under previous coach Simone Inzaghi.
Reggina currently sit 14th in the Serie B table after 20 games, with 23 points. They have not picked up a win since their 2-1 victory over Perugia at the end of October.
