Sarri Gives Lazio President Lotito an Ultimatum Following Poor January Window

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has given president Claudio Lotito an ultimatum following the disappointing January transfer window.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 63-year-old Italian coach is furious following the lack of signings in last month’s transfer window, with only Jovane Cabral arriving, and his relationship with sporting director Igli Tare is at an all time low.

Lotito had promised Sarri some moves in the transfer window, but as usual Lazio left things until the last minute, barely managing to secure Jovane even. As such, Sarri has given the Biancocelesti president an ultimatum: either him or Tare will have to leave the club in the summer.

This has forced Lotito into a difficult position; on one hand, a great relationship with a friend and mostly reliable sporting director, and on the other, the man who could lead Lazio to the top again. The Biancocelesti president has a tough few months ahead of him in Formello now.
