Lazio Ultras Protest Outside Training Ground Following Poor January Window

Lazio ultras gathered outside the club’s training ground yesterday to protest the poor January transfer market.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi yesterday, a large number of fans decided to protest the club’s poor work in last month’s transfer window by expressing their anger outside the training ground in Formello yesterday afternoon.

The Lazio fans feel abandoned by the club, with other issues also being raised, like the excessively high ticket prices, leading to limited numbers of fans present during matches.

Hundreds of fans gathered in front of the gates to sing and shout their anger, with president Claudio Lotito being their number one target. Igli Tare was also the subject of some unfriendly chants.

Some banners were seen, which read “Shame!” and “Another market in the name of mediocrity, Lotito you are not worthy of this team”.

In the end, around 1000 fans turned up for the protest, which ended at 3pm local time, two hours after it started.

The Lazio ultras have never had a particularly good relationship with Lotito and so this protest is unlikely to lead to any change.
