Lazio picked up an important three points at the Stadio Artemio Franchi last night after a strong 3-0 win over Fiorentina.
The Biancocelesti secured the win thanks to goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile, with the Roman squad finally showing the signs of coach Maurizio Sarri’s famous ‘Sarrismo’ system.
- Fiorentina (4-3-3): Terracciano; Venuti, Milenkovic, Nastasic, Biraghi; Bonaventura (76′ Ikone), Torreira, Duncan (59′ Castrovilli); Sottil (89′ Amrabat), Cabral (76′ Piatek), Callejòn (59′ Gonzalez).

The Biancocelesti got close to breaking the deadlock a number of times before half-time, but they failed, finishing the first half 0-0. They had 55% of the ball and took six shots to Fiorentina’s one.
In the second half, Lazio started well and in the 52nd minute finally found their breakthrough, with Zaccagni’s beautiful pass finding Milinkovic-Savic, who made no mistake as he put Lazio 1-0 up.
In the 63rd minute Fiorentina were given a penalty after a collision between Castrovilli and Luiz Felipe, but the referee changed his mind after a quick VAR check.
Seven minutes, Lazio doubled their advantage after Immobile finished a quick attacking move to make it 2-0.
Fiorentina pushed back hard after this, with Vincenzo Italiano’s side fighting for at least a goal back, but things went from bad to worse in the 80th minute, when Biraghi accidentally put the ball into the back of his own net, making it 3-0 Lazio.
Lazio closed out the game well, picking up all three points in Florence and giving them some positive signs after a miserable January transfer window.
