Real Betis & Sevilla to Compete for Expiring Lazio Defender Luiz Felipe, Inter Back Off

Lazio are still hoping to renew Luiz Felipe’s contract, but Spanish sides Real Betis and Sevilla are ready to pick up the player on a free transfer.

As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the Biancocelesti have recently offered the Brazilian defender a new contract worth around €2 million net per season, including add-ons, whilst the player wants a salary that’s around €400,000 higher.

Sevilla and Real Betis are both ready to fight for Luiz Felipe’s signature should his contract expire with Lazio. Betis, with add-ons, can get close to the player’s preferred €2.5 million net per season salary requests, whilst Sevilla are even ready to offer raise the figures a little.

Inter are also keeping tabs on the situation, although they’ve slowed down in their chase of the player, waiting to see what happens over the next couple of months.

The 24-year-old Luiz Felipe has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season under coach Maurizio Sarri.
