Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is ready to focus on the Coppa Italia as he looks to start his cycle in Rome with a trophy.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 63-year-old Italian coach has hardly had time to enjoy the Biancocelesti’s important 3-0 win over Fiorentina on the weekend, with the squad already preparing to take on Milan tomorrow in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Sarri is incredibly keen to guide Lazio to Coppa Italia glory this season, for two main reasons. The first is that it’s the easiest way to nab a qualification spot for European competition next season, and the second is that he wants to start his cycle in Rome with a trophy.
The 63-year-old Italian coach is ready to field his best starting lineup in tomorrow’s match against Milan in order to avoid dropping out of the competition in the quarter-finals.
