Lazio star Ciro Immobile will undergo a round of medical tests today as he works to be available for tomorrow’s match against Bologna.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker suffered a bruised foot during the 4-0 loss to Milan on Wednesday, forcing him off the pitch in the 68th minute.

Immobile wants to feature against Bologna tomorrow but first he’ll have to undergo a round of medical tests today. There’s a chance that coach Maurizio Sarri will rest the Lazio star against the Rossoblu tomorrow in order to have him fully fit for next week’s match against Porto.

Should Immobile be rested, Sarri is likely to try deploying Felipe Anderson in the false nine role, as the departure of Vedat Muriqi last month means that there’s no true backup for the 31-year-old Italian star, who has scored 18 goals in 20 Serie A appearances this season.
