Alessio Romagnoli has reportedly agreed to join Lazio on a free transfer this summer after his contract expires with Milan.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla earlier today, the Biancocelesti have been in direct and indirect talks with the 27-year-old Italian defender for some time now, and it is likely that they have even had a detailed meeting about the move.
Romagnoli wants to fulfill his childhood dream and so he has reportedly agreed to join Lazio on a free transfer this summer. His salary would be more or less the same as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic‘s, around €3 million net per season plus add-ons; the Italian centre-back currently earns €5.5 million net per season and Milan’s offer of €2.8 million net has disappointed him.
CM: Botman signing could push Romagnoli to leave Milan this summer – Lazio’s plan
The Biancocelesti have not yet agreed to a contract renewal with Luiz Felipe and Patric’s contract is also expiring in the summer, so it is clear that some defensive reinforcements will be needed.
Romagnoli’s agent Mino Raiola has also reportedly been in talks with Juventus, but so far nothing concrete has come of these talks, with the Bianconeri being a little unconvinced on pulling the trigger to sign the player.
I think Milan management are losing it
You don’t offer low pay to young players while you pay old players more
If lazio can pay him 3.5 yearly why won’t Milan do same?
Barca Ian’s other clubs are ready to pay kessie good morning so why can’t Milan match that or get closer
We shouldn’t lose our good young players and keep older ones who plays once in every 2 months
What makes u think he is a GOOD young player? Yes, he is 27 yrs old but that is just on his ID. He plays like a 37 yrs both mentally and physically. For $2.8M or $3M we are guaranteed to get a bunch of better and younger players from other teams.
Everything has a price, it is just if it is worth it. Being young does not mean the world.
Cuz Elliott’s group are low cost money making blood sucker company.. Simple
Do you even know anything about football?
